The Shopify Pinterest channel added Australia, Austria, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK, among others, to its channel.

Over 1.7 million Shopify merchants now have access to Product Pins to promote their products across Pinterest – the microblogging site which is used as a popular inspiration tool among shoppers.

Advertisers can also access Dynamic Retargeting which allows them to re-engage consumers who previously showed an interest in products on the website.

What’s more, Shopify merchants have gained access to multi-feed support for their product Catalogues. Retailers on Pinterest cab add up to 20 products to their feed adjusting the language, currency and availability of products as they go along.

The latest addition makes it easier to sell products internationally.

“With the retail ecosystem profoundly evolving over the past year, we’re committed to supporting merchants of all sizes by providing them with a quick and easy access to our shopping features without the need to edit code or deploy resources so they can inspire consumers for what to do or buy next.” explained Bill Watkins, Global Head of Mid-Market and Small Business Sales at Pinterest.

According to Pinterest, 97% of searches on the site are unbranded which means that with 450 million users retailers have a fair chance of being discovered.
